Monsters of Folk is an American supergroup, consisting of Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes and M. Ward.

The band was founded in 2004, when the members on tour with their respective bands and solo projects. After playing together on stage and backstage, they started together on various materials.

The members most important projects, Monsters of Folk not pack her first album until 2009, and it was on 22 September appeared on Rough Trade.

Rose to 143 in the Billboard Top 200 and reached 15th Alternative achieved 3rd place among the Top Independent Albums, # 8 on the Top Rock Albums, # 7 on Top Digital Albums, and # 6 on Top Albums.
